Ed has been a dedicated State Farm Agent since 1994, accumulating insurance experience since 1990. He proudly represents the third generation of State Farm agents, with his family's legacy tracing back to 1947. Ed's educational background includes graduating from Furman University, where he was also a member of the 1988 Furman 1-AA National Championship Football Team.

Throughout his extensive career, Ed has actively served on various committees and boards, demonstrating his commitment to his community. Some of his notable involvements include holding the position of Vice President at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, serving as President of the Cherrydale Area Council, and being a member of the Board of Directors for the Furman Paladin Club. He has also taken on leadership roles as the Past-President of the Furman Lettermen's Association and Chairman of the Furman Football Players Association. Additionally, Ed has contributed to the development of emerging leaders through his support of the Emerging Public Leaders Program at Furman University.

Ed's dedication to giving back is evident through his involvement in numerous volunteer activities. He has coached flag football at the Eastside YMCA, served as a board member and coach for the Northwood Little League and USSSA baseball, and volunteered for organizations such as Kids Voting USA, Safe Kids, Bike Safety, and State Farm Fire Safety.

His hard work and commitment have garnered recognition and honors, including being a State Farm Legion of Honor Qualifier, Bronze Tablet Qualifier, Silver Scroll Qualifier, and Millionaire Club Qualifier. In 2006, Ed was honored as the Furman University Volunteer of the Year. He has also been recognized as an Insurance Finalist for the "BestoftheUpstate" awards in both 2017 and 2021. The Greenville Chamber of Commerce acknowledged his excellence by naming his business the Small Business of the Month in February 2010. Furthermore, Ed's commitment to marketplace excellence led to his selection as a finalist for the Better Business Bureau Torch Award in 2007.
